CABINET APPROVES VII CPC'S LOWEST EVER RECOMMENDATION

A Serious disappointment. Today Cabinet approved the 7th CPC report with minimal changes.

No rise in Minimum wage and Fitment rate. None of the demands of the unions has accepted.

It further disappointed with removal of multiple fitment rates of 2.57, 2.62, 2.67 and it confined to only the lowest i.e. 2.57 to all levels of employees. This has impact of nearly one and two increments loss to middle and higher level officials respectively.

The only positive part is, the proposal of enhancement of CGEIS is dropped by the Cabinet and Gratuity ceiling is raised and HBA is increased to 25 lakhs.

Central Government Employees federations thinking of advancing the date of indefinite strike from 11th July to 4th July.
